“IF you wish to travel abroad for a low price, it is worth becoming friends with Finnair employees. Finnair offers its 7,000 employees 12 quota tickets per each calendar year. Only country-specific taxes and traveller payments are charged for these so-called ID tickets.
The ticket entitles you to a Finnair flight, supposing that the plane is not fully booked, with no possibility for seat reservation. The employees may use the tickets for themselves or give them to close relatives, such as a live-in-partner, a child under 24, parent, sibling or close friend.
The close relative should be marked down as a travelling partner instead of spouse.”
