Hanken School of Economics has once again solidified its position as a leading institution in business education, with its master's programme ranking 57th in the 2024 Financial Times Masters in Management (MiM) global ranking. This accomplishment places Hanken among the top three business schools in the Nordic region, standing alongside Stockholm School of Economics and Lund University School of Economics and Management.
This latest result continues Hanken's consistent performance in the prestigious ranking. In 2022, Hanken was placed 62nd, followed by an impressive rise to 46th in 2023. Rector Ingmar Björkman expressed satisfaction with the school's sustained success, highlighting the ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education. “We are pleased that Hanken's master's programme continues to be highly ranked in the world and among the best in the Nordic region. This year, we welcomed a record number of students, both Finnish and international, which speaks to the growing reputation of our programmes,” Björkman noted.
The Financial Times annually evaluates over 14,000 business schools worldwide, but only the top 100 earn a place in its highly regarded MiM ranking. Leading institutions like the University of St. Gallen, HEC Paris, and INSEAD dominate the global list. Hanken's strong performance is particularly notable in key areas like employability three months after graduation and alumni satisfaction with their degrees.
The ranking is primarily based on surveys completed by alumni who graduated three years prior, combined with data submitted by the universities themselves. Hanken’s strong showing in these rankings reinforces its status as a premier business school, offering students a competitive edge in the global job market.
With this achievement, Hanken continues to attract a diverse student body and strengthens its reputation as a key player in Nordic and international business education.
