Madagascar 3 Europe's Most Wanted (360, PS3, Wii, 3DS, DS)
I'm not saying you have to be under ten to enjoy this game, but at some point while I was collecting medicine for a hypochondriac giraffe I started to wonder what the meaning of it all was. The Madagascar movies have been massive hits and with some reason. However the humour, personability and crazy antics from the films have not been successfully imported into this title.
That's not to say that there is no fun to be had, just that what there is is repetitive and lacking in lustre. The story sees you tasked with visiting some european cities with the aim of putting on a circus which will enable the four animal heroes at the centre of the franchise to return home to New York. Playing as the different species is mildly entertaining for a while, but the locations are graphically weak and all look rather the same. even if there are slight cosmetic changes, the gameplay resolutely refuses to alter, as you'll basically be replaying the first level three more times, complete with exactly the same bonus rounds, advertising tasks and circus performances. Likewise the dialogue is predictable.
Fans of the movies and achievement or trophy hunters are really the only ones who will find this worthwhile playing, and even then not for long.
