News in brief

BRITISH AIRWAYS has been forced to cancel "almost 100%" of its flights on Monday and Tuesday, as the result of an ongoing pay dispute which has resulted in a widespread staff strike among pilots.

The British Airline Pilots Association (BALPA) has rejected BA's offer of an 11% pay increase over three years and will continue to strike until a new offer is received. It is currently unclear as to how this will affect the many BA flights departing from Finnish airports this week, although passengers are advised to continue monitoring the status of their flights.
