People gathered around a makeshift memorial for the victims of a deadly terror attack in Nice, France, on 17 July, 2016. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack that killed 84 people, according to a news service affiliated with the terrorist group.
No Finnish citizens are believed to be among the casualties of the deadly terror attack that took place in Nice, France, on Thursday, reports the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Ministry officials have according to a press release successfully reached all people whose whereabouts have raised concerns among their family members. The Embassy of Finland in Paris will nevertheless continue posting information about the attack via Facebook, the press release indicates.
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs also recommends that all people travelling to France exercise normal security precautions as the country is currently on maximum security alert due to terrorist threat.
