The funding for the ongoing construction of two cruise ships, ordered by the German cruise line TUI Cruises, at STX Finland's shipyard in Turku has been secured, the Ministry of Employment and the Economy reveals. According to the ministry, all parties of the financing agreement have re-affirmed their commitment, after creditors granted STX Offshore & Shipbuilding an emergency loan of 400 million euro. The state's contribution, the ministry underlines, remains unchanged, while other details of the agreement remain confidential. The cruise ships are thus set for completion as scheduled in approximately one to two years' time.
