COR - Physical Theatre

COR – Physical Theatre

Helsinki International Theatre comes out with a new production and revivifies
the international life of the city’s theatre scene. The new performance examines
the heart and its many metaphors. The heart, the hollow muscle inside us all, can
mean several different things to different people.

The theme of the performance suits the interests of the group well, one
of them being finding a language that can cross the traditional boundaries
between spoken languages. Founded in the spring of 2009, the group has
worked intensively and contributes to better interplay between international
theatre groups and actors.

COR is the result of two weeks of hard work in residency in Hämeenkyrö
where the group of international artists sang, danced and held acrobatic
workshops together. The finished work is directed by Anna Jaanisoo
and will be performed outdoors on Suomenlinna at the end of July.
