Eckerö Line's MS Nordlandia ferry with about 850 passengers on board managed to sail to Tallinn Friday afternoon.

The ship became stuck in ice soon after sailing from Helsinki in the morning.

The Finnish Coast Guard said two other ferries had broken a path through the ice for MS Nordlandia.
