MS Viking Cinderella turned back to Stockholm without docking in Mariehamn on Monday over a guidance system computer malfunction, Finnish shipowner Viking Line said.

The handful of passengers who had bought passage to Mariehamn were taken ashore by boat.
Johanna Boijer-Svanström, a spokeswoman at Viking Line, said the fault was not critical.

The ferry returned to Stockholm on schedule, completing a 22-hour cruise with about 1,500 passengers onboard.
