Helsinki City Transport (HKL) said Sunday evening that all underground stations west of Sörnäinen were closed over a burst watermain.

Matti Lahdenranta, the managing director of HKL, told the Finnish News Agency (STT) at 6pm that the five stations would probably remain closed for the rest of the day.

Rescuers said no one had been injured in the flooding. Finnish Railways said overground train services were unaffected.
