Finnair pilots' overtime ban leaves most flights unaffected PDF Print E-mail

The Finnish Airline Pilots' Association overtime ban imposed on flag carrier Finnair's Helsinki-Vantaa hub on Saturday caused one flight delay at the weekend, with a Helsinki-Paris flight waiting on the tarmac for about an hour.

Finnair said a Beijing flight was delayed by a couple of hours but not because of the overtime ban.

The carrier urged passengers to check the Helsinki-Vantaa airport website before travelling.

The union has issued a strike notice in protest against flight outsourcing. The strike is set to begin on 16 November.
