The Helsinki district court on Friday dismissed charges against Viinikauppa.com, an online alcohol retailer, casting the future of Alko, the government's alcohol retail monopoly, into doubt.

Anu Mantila, a public prosecutor, had said before the ruling that Alko would face competition if the charges were dismissed.
