Finnish state-owned arms maker Patria is to deliver the first of more than 130 armoured personnel carriers to Slovenia on Friday, the day after the Helsinki district court remanded Jorma Wiitakorpi, the company's former chief executive, suspected of industrial espionage, aggravated bribery and bribery in business operations in the Slovenia deal.

The court also remanded a current Patria executive.

Patria said the latest developments had no bearing on deliveries.

The Finnish police are expected to release details of its Patria investigations, the other focusing on an artillery deal in Egypt, later on Friday.
