Finnish utility Teollisuuden Voima (TVO) said Monday that the completion of the Olkiluoto 3 nuclear power station would be further delayed and it would not start electricity production until 2013.
The original plan was for Olkiluoto 3 to start operating last year.
According to TVO, the Franco-German builder Areva-Siemens has estimated that most work at Olkiluoto 3 is to be completed by the end of 2012, but some months must be reserved for the start-up process after this time.
The string of delays at the Olkiluoto 3 construction site has led to a legal wrangle between TVO and Areva.
