An increasing number of men are opting for Botox injections and the surgical removal of flab.
WHEN A man goes for plastic surgery, he’s usually there for a bit of fine tuning. Although the most common cosmetic operation for men is removal of moles, a growing number are going in for Botox injections to remove wrinkles.
A smooth brow seems important to many career men – as are presentable eyelids, since surgery on these is also increasingly in demand.

I JOINED the presidential campaign because of my conviction that Finland needs a clear sense of direction if we are to ensure a good, equal standard of life for future generations. Editorial space in Friday and Saturday’s papers was hogged by thoughts on the new Finnish Broadcasting Company (Yle) tax. The tax will replace TV licences in 2013 as the means by which Yle is funded.
Prior to the decision being announced there had been talk of allocating money to Yle straight from the state budget, but some feared that the broadcaster’s independence and neutrality would be affected. Instead, this solution will see every person in Finland taxed bar under-18-year-olds and those earning less than 7,800 euros a year, regardless of whether they use Yle services or not.
